一、前言地球的年龄自古以来就是人们关心的重大问题之一。对于地球年龄见解的演变,其本身就反映了科学史和人类自然史观的发展。地球的年龄为45亿年,目前已成为一种常识。那么它是怎样求得的呢?当我们谈到近代计算地球年龄时,必须要提到在十九世纪末放射性的发现。这一发现促进了地质学的发展。首先介绍一下发现放射性以前有关地球年龄的认识。
I. Foreword The age of the earth has been one of the major issues of concern to people since ancient times. The evolution of insights into the age of the Earth itself reflects the history of science and the development of human natural history. The Earth, 4.5 billion years old, has now become a common sense. How can we find it? When we talk about modern computing the age of the earth, we must mention the radioactive findings at the end of the nineteenth century. This discovery has promoted the development of geology. First, I will introduce my understanding of the age of the earth before the discovery of radioactivity.
