宋开周同志,是莒南县文町区宋家庄大队人,现在是该队大队长,党支部委员。解放后,在党的培养教育下,在长期生产斗争中,坚持活学活用毛主席著作,开展科学实验,经过不断实践和不断总结提高,摸索出一套比较完整的地瓜丰产栽培经验,并创造了窝瓜“下蛋”高产经验,有效地解决了窝瓜生产中存在着的产量高、质量差的矛盾。这一经验已在大面积生产上推广应用,对促进地瓜增产起到了很大作用。宋开周同志所在大队,地处莒南县东北部山岭地区。那里山多、岭多,土地瘠薄,大部分为既怕旱又怕涝的酥石碴和砂质土壤。解放前,由于受着剥削阶级的残酷统治和小农经济的束缚,生产力得不到发展,粮食产量很低。解放后,在党的领导下走上了集体化的道路,这时摆在全体
