鹤庆六合白依人属于彝族支系,其唢呐音乐文化自身具有丰富的表现力,主要表现在白依人的日常生活和文化积淀。白依人与白族等其他少数民族相互杂居,其唢呐音乐文化在历史的流动中保留着自身的艺术特点,他们通过唢呐音乐表达内心的隐喻情感和共同的记忆,具有时间性和抽象概括性,唢呐音乐扎根于白依人的生活中成为了白依人在表达情感的载体,是白依人音乐文化的重要组成部分,也是白依人唢呐价值之所在。
