前因:与上海艺术家有缘在2014年上海双年展第十届举办之际,李旭打来电话,说是馆里陈列着第一届至第十届策展人的名姓,我有些诧异。他还发来展场图片,证明我的确被“追认”为第一届上海双年展的策展人。说来话长,1991年初,我为“北京西三环艺术研究文献展”走访各地艺术家画室,一路东下,从重庆到上海,对上海艺术家各自独立的创作状态有非常深刻的印象,他们不太在乎别的地方
Antecedents: Relating to Shanghai Artists At the 10th Shanghai Biennale in 2014, Li Xu called and said I was surprised to find that the first to the tenth curators’ names were displayed in the museum . He also sent a picture of the exhibition hall to prove that I was “cursed” as the curator of the first Shanghai Biennale. Long story, in early 1991, I visited the artists’ studios all over the country and traveled all the way from Chongqing to Shanghai. I was very impressed with the independent creative status of Shanghai artists. They do not care too much about other places
