当前科学技术特别是高新科学技术突飞猛进,知识经济初见端倪,以微电子技术为核心的计算机技术的发展和应用所引发的信息革命,给图书馆事业的发展面临时代变革带来了严峻的挑战和新的发展机遇。我国加入WTO〈世贸组织〉以后,随着图书馆从传统型向现代化的转变,新技术在图书馆内的广泛应用,提高图书馆工作人员的整体素质已成当务之急。为适应新世纪图书馆事业发展的需要,我们应不失时机地加强对现有市县级公共图书馆员工的继续教育,这对图书馆事业的发展具有重大的现实意义。
At present, science and technology, especially high and new science and technology, are advancing by leaps and bounds. The knowledge economy has taken shape at first sight. The information revolution triggered by the development and application of computer technology with microelectronics as its core has posed a severe challenge to the development of the library undertaking the changes in the times And new opportunities for development. After China’s accession to the WTO , with the transformation of the library from the traditional type to the modern one and the extensive application of new technology in the library, it is a top priority to improve the overall quality of the library staff. In order to meet the needs of the development of the library in the new century, we should seize the opportunity to strengthen the continuing education of the existing public libraries at the county level, which has great practical significance for the development of the library.
