Objective To explore the value of nursing education to reduce the risk of falling in stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods A total of 268 stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 134 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing care. On the basis of the control group, the patients in the observation group were given intensive nursing education and the final treatment effect was analyzed. Results The incidence of falls in observation group and control group were 2.2% and 9.7%, respectively, with significant difference (P <0.05). The total satisfaction of the patients in the observation group was 98.5%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (92.5%), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with routine nursing care, intensive care education can reduce the risk of falls and increase the quality of life of patients with hemiplegia due to stroke. Therefore, it is suggested that nursing education should be adopted in the later stage of nursing for patients with hemiplegia after stroke.
