本厂大部重要的机车及车辆结构零件如汽缸、轮心、摇枕、侧架等都用25铸钢制成。25Л铸钢在铸态具有粗大的晶粒断口以及粗晶粒铁素体珠光体,还经常可以看到魏氏组织,因此相应地规定了铸态有低的强度塑性、特别是韧性。由于机车及车辆结构零件经常处在高载,高速运动状态,显然25Л铸钢铸状所表现的行为是不能满足使用的要求,以往本厂曾以退火处理来改善铸态的显微组织及提高机械性能。
