2005年以来,宜春市社会治安综合治理工作在宜春市委、市政府的高度重视和统一领导下,以科学发展观为统领,以和谐平安建设为主线,以基层基础建设为重点,强化理念、创新载体、多措并举维护社会和谐稳定,在全市形成了“党政重视、综治牵头、部门协调、社会参与、齐抓共管”的大综治工作格局,各项工作全面推进,成效显著。2008年3月,宜春被授予全省首个“平安市”荣誉称号, 2009年5月,被中央综治委评为“全国社会治安综合治理工作优秀地市”。
