地处上海西南的徐汇,从17世纪起,就在明代著名科学家徐光启的推动下,率先同西方开始了科技、经济、文化等方面的交流,从此徐汇成为上海开埠以来中西科技交流的发源地之一。今日的徐汇,科技创新氛围浓厚,科技企业蓬勃发展,科技园区生机盎然。区域内百余所科研院所和高校,成千上万的科技人才,以及科技发明的累累硕果,正在与徐汇区雄厚的综合实力相结合,转化成为区域社会经济发展前进的新动力。
Xuhui is located in the southwest of Shanghai. From the 17th century on, Xu Guangqi, the famous scientist in the Ming Dynasty, took the lead in the exchange of science and technology, economy and culture with the West. Xuhui became the birthplace of the exchange of Chinese and Western science and technology since its opening in Shanghai one.
