This article discusses the residual effect of 1935-61 on the 1959-61 fertilizer applied to the 1930-61 Brazilian rubber tree planted in inland heavy clay. The rubber tree with two phosphate fertilizers in 1935-41 produced about twice the yield of un-fertilized plants between 1959 and 61. Application of two phosphate fertilizer results, but also leaves and latex phosphorus content is higher, higher plants, larger trees, and bark regeneration is also better. The residual effect of potassium production is small or negative, and the residual effect of nitrogen production has not yet been determined. Regardless of previous production levels, gum trees were treated with 2% n-butyl 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetate and the yield was increased by 29%.
