日本要走向何方?这个国家对防卫、金融政策、公共安全、行政改革、政治改革、对美国的关系、对中国以及对亚洲其它国家的关系等问题的短期与长期的选择是什么?探讨多种选择,寻找正确的答案,将是改变日本未来潜力的钥匙。如今,日本在许多方面正处于十字路口,它迫切需要考虑哪类政策会给它在繁荣、安全与和协的外交关系上带来最佳的平衡。然而,当今从事研究、寻找这些重要问题答案的日本机构的数量屈指可数。更糟的是,些少得可怜的机构的研究结论受到政府或公司的关系的严重影响。
What is Japan’s Future? What is the short-term and long-term choice of the country for such issues as defense, financial policy, public safety, administrative reform, political reform, relations with the United States, relations with China and other Asian countries? Choosing and finding the right answer will be the key to changing the future potential of Japan. In many ways Japan is at a crossroads today, and it urgently needs to consider what kind of policy will give it the best balance it can afford in its diplomatic relations of prosperity, security and harmony. However, the number of Japanese institutions that are engaged in research today and who look for answers to these important questions is numbered. To make matters worse, the conclusions of the research on these pitiful institutions are seriously affected by the government or the company’s relations.
