玉门油田公安处消防二中队是随着油田在新中国诞生而建立的,从最初的十几名消防人员和几台简易的灭火设备发展到今天的60多名消防指战员,7台大中型消防车的一个中队。主要担负着油田炼化总厂250万吨/年原油加工任务和责任区油田职工家属、地方商业、工厂、居民的消防安全保卫任务。50多年来,这支队伍以确保油田和驻地的消防安全为己任,不断强化自身建设,成功地扑救了一起起火灾,完成了一次次抢险救援
