《镜花缘》为清·李汝珍所著的一部长篇小说。李汝珍,字松石,直隶大兴(今北京大兴县)人,约生于1763年,死于1830年左右。其所著的《镜花缘》一书,“形杂质清,寓庄于谐,想像奇特,轻松幽默的格调,为雅俗所共赏,影响已越出国界,被译成英、法、德、俄、日等多种文字。”前苏联学者费施曼称《镜花缘》是“熔幻想小说、历史小说、讽刺小说和游记小说于一炉的巨著。”书中用较大篇幅论述了中医药学内容,对普及推广祖国医学,作了很大贡献。
