如果你不同意一个人的某一观点,你会如何表达?直接说“不行”?“我不同意”?或者更有修养一点,“你说的也有道理,不过我认为……”?美国一位五年级教师告诉她的学生应该这么表达:“你说的是个有趣的想法,我也这样想过。”原来美国人跟你说“你的想法真有趣”(interesting)时,很可能是他不太同意你的观点,但他不会简单直接地否定你。仔细比较一下,这种委婉的表达方式的确会让对方更容易接受,而且其中还蕴含这样一种积极开放的心态:
