In this paper, the characteristics of HDL saccharification in diabetic patients and the disappearance of glycosylated HDL after blood glucose returned to normal were observed. The levels of glycated HDL in diabetic patients were found to be 4 times higher than those in controls. The levels of glycated HDL and the 4th day before blood sampling were significantly higher (P <0.05) .Apo A-Ⅰ accounted for more than 80% in HDL. The highly purified Apo A-Ⅰ was incubated with different concentrations of glucose at 37 ℃, the degree of saccharification and incubation time and glucose concentration As a direct result, plasma triglycerides and total cholesterol rapidly decline in patients with type 2 diabetes after intravenous infusion of insulin to normalize their blood glucose levels. Triglyceride levels are significantly reduced and cholesterol levels are elevated in HDL. The half-life of glycated HDL in plasma is 78 hours, slightly shorter than that of Apo A-I, and it is possible that the latter non-enzymatic glycation accelerates catabolism.
