This article examines the structural changes that have taken place in the global ferroalloy industry from three aspects of production, consumption and trade between 1980 and 1992. Looking forward to the world’s steel production in 2000, energy and environment, trade and other three major aspects of the development prospects. The analysis concluded that the production of ferro-alloys in Latin America, Africa (including the Middle East), Asia (including the Pacific) and other regions could be increased to meet the growing demand for ferro-alloys. On the other hand, the output of ferro-alloys in Europe and the Americas Continue to decline.
