二密镇位于通化县北部,镇区距县城14公里,距通化市16公里,国道集锡线、县道恒弧线纵贯全境,梅集铁路在境内设有两个车站,是通化市的北出口和通往省城长春的必经之地。全镇幅员面积322.7平方公里,辖16个行政村,两个街道办事处,13个居民委,全镇总户数9267户,总人口27039人,其中:农业户13035户,农业人口12373人。现有耕地29699亩,林地304515亩。二密镇经过几年的发展现已成为省综合改革与经济发展试点镇、省十强镇、省精神文明先进镇,被通化市委、市政府评为甲级经济强镇,连续5年被通化县委评为先进党委。2006年完成招商引资任务19500万元,财政收入达到2202万元,农民人均收入达到3887元。
