金盾出版社是1983年成立的一家综合性出版社。建社之初就在调查研究的基础上,确立了自己的出版定位:以科技实用图书为主要出书范围;以中等文化程度的读者为主要对象;以部队基层和广大农村为主要市场;以服务生产、美化生活为主要目标。这四句话体现的一个突出特点,就是读者面比较宽。13年来的出版工作实践也证明了这一点。到1996年底,我社累计出书1280多种,共发行2亿册,每种书平均印刷3.4次,发行15万多册,重印率达80%左右。1996年发行总码洋1.8亿元,比上年增长20%。十多年来,我们心中时刻想着读者,眼里密切注视市场,多出、出好实用的科技图书,赢得了读者,扩大了销售。为了使图书实用,我们在确定选题时,始终重视信息的搜集、分析和利用。我社到各省、市、县书店跑发
Golden Shield Press was founded in 1983 as a comprehensive publishing house.
