从《广韵》开始,一些字书韵书中出现了“(侯欠)”与“(侯皮)”两字相互错讹的现象,《汉语大字典》更是将相关异体字也作为不同字来处理,本文详细梳理了两字在流传过程中产生的注音释义方面的错讹:“(侯欠)”应读胡遘切,表示“石蜜膜”;而“(侯欠)”应读胡沟切,表示某种呼吸疾病;两字音义均不同,应是不同的字;“(侯欠)(侯皮)”可能是今天北方某些次方言中表示呼吸道疾病的[xou~(55) xou]的本字。“(侯欠)”“(侯皮)”之讹主要由于部件“欠”、“皮”形近易讹、“(侯皮)”所指非常用、以及历代字书遍抄讹误等因素造成的。
