The structure and properties of the pseudo-rotamers of the pentacoordinated phosphorus intermediate formed by N-phosphorylalanine were studied by MNDO semi-empirical molecular orbital calculation. The results show that these isomers are highly active and have different reactivity properties, so they may become multi-reactive synthons.
