措莫隆锡多金属矿是川西高原最重要的有色金属矿床类型之一,区内自然重砂矿物分布特征明显,异常规模大、强度高,与三叠系图姆沟组、曲嘎寺组及党恩组等矿源层、二长花岗岩、钾长花岗岩、黑云母花岗岩等含锡花岗岩体及控矿、容矿构造都有成因上的联系,与Sn、Pb、Zn、Ag等化探异常及化探综合异常相吻合,并与已知锡矿床(点)有极好的响应。锡石、白铅矿、方铅矿作为该区自然重砂特征组合矿物,其组合异常可作为重要预测因子参与区内锡矿最小预测区的圈定,重砂异常对该区及邻区的锡矿找矿预测及勘查具重要的指示意义。
