从大量的橡胶实生树群中,选出最优的抗寒母树,通过有性杂交,选育出抗寒力较好的桂研73—165、66—2等品系。亲本抗寒力强的,其杂交后代也相应较强;正反交组合,母本较抗寒的,其后代的寒害较轻;在抗寒力传递上,似有母本显性倾向;春花授粉稔实率高于夏花。当前要解决杂交亲本贫乏问题。
