A new active control method was proposed, in which the analytical control law was deduced by using a step by step integral method to differential equation of motion under the condition of static error being zero. This control law is terse in mathematical expression and convenient for practical use. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can provide much more remarkable peak response reduction of seismically excited structures than the classical LQR method.
