今年是世界上第一只克隆动物多利羊诞生5周年。随着猪、羊、牛、鼠、猴、猫等大批动物被克隆成功,美、加有人宣布着手克隆人。加上沸沸扬扬的人造子宫问题,生物技术恐惧症再度弥漫。为此,联大特别委员会开始讨论和拟定《禁止生殖性克隆人国际公约》,标志着推动在世界范围内禁止克隆人的行动进入了起步阶段。那么, “人造人”到底会给我们带来什么呢?
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the birth of Dolly the first cloned animal in the world. With the successful cloning of large numbers of animals such as pigs, sheep, cattle, mice, monkeys, and cats, the United States and Canada have announced the beginning of cloning. Coupled with the uproar of the artificial uterus problem, biotechnology phobias are once again filled. To this end, the special committee of the UN General Assembly began to discuss and draft the International Convention for the Suppression of Reproductive Genomics, marking the beginning of an initiative to promote the worldwide prohibition of human cloning. So, what exactly does “artificial man” bring us?
