Students studying architecture now need more things than ever before, such as computers and images, sustainability, media studies, urban planning, urban landscapes, critical theory and criticism, globalization and more. The challenge for postgraduate teaching in architecture is the need to balance extremely complex topics related to architecture, urban and landscape design while focusing on developing basic skills and capturing the boundaries of a flexible discipline. The underlying interdisciplinary needs of architecture and other academic institutions in research universities naturally bring us to emphasize the relationship between architecture, city, landscape and construction technology in cultural, social and political contexts and pay close attention to world-wide design Centers and other disciplines within their own institutions. In addition, teachers and managers should be very sensitive to new things such as research methods, advanced information technology, international perspectives, environment and sustainable development, new construction technologies and materials. Successful graduate development programs continually improve the syllabus and recognize that architects are facing extraordinary new architectural projects.
