近几年来,我区有些果园草荒严重,特别是多年来茅草和芦苇草较多,严重影响了果品产量和质量。经中国果树所土肥室介绍,在果园用草甘膦除草,收到较好效果。廊坊市高庄子果园有6亩茅草地,过去用15个人挖茅草15天(工值2.4元),平均每亩用工开支90元,次年又有茅草长出。1984年用草甘膦除治,每亩用药1.75公斤,加上其它开支,共用7.43元,基本消灭了茅草。
