舆论监督,是“运用新闻媒介,对偏离或违背社会正常运行规则的行为依法实施的新闻批评”。新闻媒体作为公众舆论集中和发布的平台,实施舆论监督的基本手段是以批评性报道和评论为载体,对一切妨碍社会和谐的现象、行为以及思潮进行立场鲜明的揭露和批判。正因如此,舆论监督类节目和报道的对象往往是那些背离社会主流审美标准的假、恶、丑的新闻事实,这就给舆论监督的审美选择提出了新的挑战:如何取舍新闻素材,才能够恰到好处地揭露反面现象、起到教育警示作用;如何确立报道视点;才能够唤起受众的理性反思,形成积极的舆论影响力;如何解读新闻事
