The study on methanol catalytic oxidation of methane in liquid phase has extremely important strategic significance for the direct conversion and utilization of natural gas. The latest research progress on the partial oxidation of methane to methanol from the reaction solvent, catalyst and oxidant is reviewed. The direction of further research and development in this area is also forecasted.
