我院自一九五二年成立以来,于一九八五年十一月廿五日召开了第一届科技工作会议,会议利用五个下午传达了中共新疆维吾尔自治区党委关于科技体制改革的决定,并研究了我院贯彻“决定”的意见。会上许鹏副院长传达了自治区科技工作会议的精神,并作了会议总结。院科研处张学魁处长作了关于我院贯彻自治区科技工作会议意见的报告。自治区科委农医处吴开明处长、教育厅张六顺处长传递了当前科研工作的一些信息,并对今后工作作了指示。会上经充分讨论,大家一致认为:我院科研工作在三中全会以来,推动了教学,促进了生产,效益显著,仅推广的30万亩西瓜新品种“红优二号”一项,一年就可为自治区创利润3000余万元,受到广大农民及自治区各级领导的称赞。
