自去年第四季度以来,我厂好铁即已用完,上极分配的只有土铁含流量较高,无法浇注铸件,当时我们处于半停工状态。经职工同志组织抗旱及供应科的多方设法,虽收集到一些好铁,但是数量太少,远远满足不了生产上的需要。在党委的指示和领导下,我们一方面添置了二座顶帽式热风化铁炉。准备脱硫熔成再生铁;另一方面准备学习北京地区的经验,用退火方法来获得土球墨铸统。也就在这时,我们听取了上海五力铸造厂及一机部机械与工艺研究院应用材料研究所用铝锌及硼直接做孕育土球墨铸铁的经验介绍。
