为了培养中学生阅读英语科普文章、书籍的兴趣,提高英语阅读和理解水平,增加科普知识及中文表达能力,引导英语学习的健康发展,培养科普翻译队伍的后备力量,中国科普作家协会翻译委员会、上海市科普作协、上海市中年科技指导站、《世界科学》、上海人民广播电台《科学与生活》节目、《科学画报》、《中学科技》和《科学》杂志联合举办了上海市中学生科普英语竞赛。报名参赛的有全市各区县的1500多名学生,以高三学生为主,也有不少高二、高一甚至初三的学生。经过两轮角逐,已于日前评定名次。华东师大二附中尤
