刘家昌(1940-)出生于黑龙江哈尔滨市,幼年曾随父母移居韩国。1962年毕业于台湾政治大学。1966年开始音乐创作,以电影配乐与电影歌曲为主,其中多与琼瑶合作。1970年代,其歌曲迅速走红,曾先后在台湾海山、歌林唱片公司任音乐制作,并创作歌曲,陆续将刘文正、甄妮、张艾嘉、费玉清、陈淑桦、凤飞飞、杨林等诸多歌手带入歌坛,成为台湾流行歌曲早期的代表性人物。八十年代中期曾客居美国,2001年举家回台后,曾移居香港,后又迁居上海。2006年曾举办个人作品演唱会。2001年曾获第十二届台湾金曲奖的“特别贡献奖”。
Liu Chia-chang (1940-) was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. His childhood moved to South Korea with his parents. 1962 graduated from Taiwan University of Political Science. Music began in 1966 to create the soundtrack and movie songs, of which more cooperation with Qiong Yao. In the 1970s, his songs became popular rapidly. He worked as a music producer and songwriter in Taiwan ’s seamounts and song - singing companies, successively bringing many singers like Liu Wenzheng, Jenny Tseng, Zhang Aijia, Fei Yuqing, Chen Shuhua, Feng Feifei and Yang Lin into the music scene. Become the early representative of popular songs in Taiwan. In the mid-1980s, he once settled in the United States. After returning to Taiwan in 2001, he moved to Hong Kong and later moved to Shanghai. 2006 solo concert held. In 2001 won the Twelfth Taiwan Golden Melody Award “Special Contribution Award ”.
