平亚丽,生于1963年,北京人,先天性双眼白内障,视力不到0.1。1984年6月13日,在美国纽约举行的第七届残疾人奥运会上为祖国夺得第一枚奥运会金牌。在奥运会的赛场上,中华人民共和国国旗——五星红旗第一次升起,国歌——《义勇军进行曲》第一次奏响。平亚丽的这块残奥会首金比许海峰的奥运会首金还要早一个多月,一个21岁的近乎全盲的女孩子为国家争得了巨大荣誉。
