地处横断山脉尾部,以艰险、漫长闻名于世的川藏公路,东起成都,西至拉萨,全长3155公里(含复线1014公里),是一条由祖国内地通往西藏边陲的交通大动脉。公路不仅直通西藏察隅、加查、山南边防,而且与青藏公路、川青公路、昌黑公路相连,战略地位十分重要。被誉为“西部奇路”。在这条漫长的“西部奇路”上,常年战斗着一支享有盛誉的高原部队,她就是成都军区联勤部某兵站部。
Located at the tail of the Hengduan Mountains, the Sichuan-Tibet highway is known for its arduous and long history. It runs from Chengdu in the east and Lhasa in the west to a total length of 3,155 km (including 1,014 km). It is a artery connecting the mainland to the Tibet border.
