1988年,宝山县和吴淞区撤二建一,成立了宝山区,原分属两个区、县的消防科也随之合并,组建成了上海市分局消防科监督员最多的第一大科。当初,有人曾担心将两个各自为政的队伍合而为一,在人事关系、团结协作等方面会出现副作用,不能发挥其第一大科的全部实力。 然而,这种担心是多余的,几年来的事实证明,宝山消防科的监督员队伍不但保持着第一大科的人数纪录,而且已成为业务能力强、执法水平高、思想作风硬的战斗
