象草又名紫狼尾草。原产于非洲,是热带和亚热带地区广泛栽培的一种多年生高产牧草。我国在20世纪30年代从印度、缅甸等国引入广东、四川等省试种,80年代已推广到广东、广西、湖南、湖北、四川、贵州、云南、福建、江西、台湾等省(自治区)栽培,生长很好,是我国南方饲养畜禽重要的青绿饲料。
Grass weeds also known as Pennisetum. Native to Africa, it is a perennial high-yielding forage widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. In the 1930s, China introduced pilot projects in Guangdong and Sichuan provinces from India and Myanmar. In the 1980s, it was extended to Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Fujian, Jiangxi and Taiwan provinces and autonomous regions. Cultivation, growth is very good, is an important green feed for livestock and poultry in southern China.
