孙小茹中国内地新锐导演北京电影学院导演系硕士毕业,师承郑洞天。生长在人杰地灵的天府之国,又拥有深厚的美术功底,她写的剧本和拍摄的电影总有一种浓得化不开的唯美气氛;2006年,拍摄完成自编自导的电影“女性三部曲”首部《水雨童话》(初潮篇),现已入围多个国际电影节。拍摄电影MV:《爱上汤加丽》;2005年,与贾樟柯、王小帅等八位新锐导演一起为庆祝“中国电影一百周年”拍摄电影致敬短片集《这一刻》中的短片《星光梦旅》,该短片集入围2005年韩国釜山电影节竞赛单元和2005年日本东京国际电影节短片单元;2004年,自编自导电影《别离开》;2003年,与扎西达娃联合创作的电影剧车《岗底斯》获台湾行政院新闻局颁发的“十大优良剧本奖”;2001年,电影剧本《西藏之恋》荣获“2001年中国大陆、香港、台湾剧本创作优秀奖”。同年由四川文艺出版社出版其散文集《朝圣香巴拉》。
