心房利钠因子具有激素的特征,因此现称为心房利钠激素(Atrial Natriuretic Hormo-ne,ANH)。在感受-分泌-效应这三个环节中,心房主要在感受容量变化和钠、钾、乙酰胆硷、肾上腺素、血管加压素等的刺激后,导致心房肌细胞分泌释放ANH,ANH再作用于靶器官而发挥生理效应。ANH的主要靶器官有肾脏、肾上腺、血管平滑肌和脑部许多调节中枢。ANH是一多分子形式的肽类,它们来自共同的大分子前体,其生理作用是多方面的,在肾脏、心血管功能调节方面和有关疾病(尤其是高血压)的发病过程中具有不容忽视的作用。
