震旦系高于庄组在我国北方是一重要的含黄铁矿层位。辽宁省化工地质勘探大队对辽西、辽北地区高于庄组进行了区域调查。本文仅就调查资料对工作区高于庄组含黄铁矿层进行初步研究。不足之处,敬请教正。一、辽西、辽北震旦系高于庄组工作区西自辽西的凌源县,东至辽北的丌源县;北界朝阳、阜新至铁岭一线,南界锦西至沈阳、抚顺一线。总面积约五万平方公里。辽西区的震旦纪地层较齐全,总厚度8700余米。辽北区缺失其下部地层,火红峪组(已浅变质)直接不整合覆盖在前震旦纪占老变质岩系之上,总厚大于7400米。
