商务口译发生在面对面交流的背景下,参与者的身体动作,面部表情,着装风格等等都将会影响到交流的整个过程。本文先简要介绍了非语言交际,然后描述了非语言交际,文化和商务口译之间的关系。最后,介绍了两种非语言交际行为中的文化差异:身势语和副语言及商务口译者解决这些文化差异的方法。
Business interpreting takes place in the context of face-to-face communication, participants’ body movements, facial expressions, dress styles, etc. will all affect the whole process of communication. This article starts with a brief introduction to nonverbal communication and then describes the relationship between nonverbal communication, culture and business interpretation. Finally, we introduce the cultural differences in two kinds of non-verbal communication: the methods by which body language and para-linguistic and business interpreters solve these cultural differences.
