考古学发展至今,已走完了自己的初级阶段即以断定年代、辨别类型、器物及其组合的特征等为主要目的阶段。国外考古学家们从上世纪六十年代已开始了对学科理论的探索,各流派慷慨陈词,而国内对此在较长一段时间内沉寂缄默。近年来,这方面的讨论初显可喜势头,但在一些问题上仍仁智相见,有所分歧。笔者以为,清醒地认识考古学的目标,于本学科理论的深入探讨是必要的。
The development of archeology so far has completed its primary stage that is to determine the age, the type of identification, artifacts and their combination of features as the main purpose of the stage. Archaeologists from foreign countries have begun to explore the theory of disciplines in the 1960s. All schools are generous in their speeches, and the Chinese have been quiet for a long period of time. In recent years, the discussions in this respect have shown encouraging signs but there are still differences of opinion on some issues. I believe that, a clear understanding of the goal of archeology, in-depth discussion of the subject theory is necessary.
