The comprehensive relationships among yield strength σys, fracture strength σf, parameter A and grain size d-1/2, and the relationships among TNDT, In and d-1/2 are studiedtheoretically and experiraentally. Two kinds of three-diirensional σ-T In -d-1/2 and T-In -d-1/2cold short fracture controlling diagram and mechanism diagram are established. These diagrams can be used not only in the analysis, diagnosis, calculation, controlling and prevention of cold short fracture, but also in the design, selection of materials and safety evaluation of machine parts at low temperatures.
