近几年来,无论是什么性质的报刊,都越来越重视对普及科学知识的宣传。这是社会发展的客观需要,也是我国科技事业日益兴旺的表现。报纸上的科学副刊,与各种科学期刊相比较,自有其独到之处。但能否办出个性,却是有待探讨的新课题。我们乌鲁木齐晚报的科学副刊《科苑》,是在1984年全国13家晚报联合举办科学小品征文的启迪和促进下破土而出的一颗科圃新苗。到目前已坚持办了近三年。最近,我们挑选了95篇代表作编辑成册,将由新疆人民出版社出版发行,老作家秦牧为
