Ammonium hexametaphosphate is an important intermediate compound of vanadium pentoxide prepared by ammonium salt method. It is important to study its thermal decomposition process. This paper reports the results of the thermal decomposition of ammonium hexamethylammonium vanadate by means of thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and chemical analysis.
