赤块矮选,原系我区连城县良种场1972年选育的矮秆晚籼推广品种,经1975～1977年我所稻瘟病圃鉴定后,作为初筛抗源,推荐并提供全国联鉴.通过全国病圃联鉴和我国已知的绝大多数病菌小种测定资料表明,赤块矮选的抗谱(抗病和中抗的百分比)比国外代表抗源特特普和城堡一号宽(见表1),并抗白叶枯病.赤块矮选,是从典型晚籼赤块矮3号系统选育而成.1977年在我区种植30万亩,是当家品种之一.在我区全生育期145～150天,九月底抽穗,比原种早熟半个月.株高85～90厘
