In recent years, it has been found that more and more students remain silent in the classroom, their gestures are about to become a tense, and silence becomes the dominant trend in the classroom. Especially in English classes, this is especially true of teachers’ questions, which often result in the silence of most students, causing most students to become “audience” and “listener” in the classroom. Especially for rural students, this is also true in English classrooms. Being timid, they are afraid to raise their hand even when they understand the contents of the classroom. As a result, the classroom atmosphere is tense, which eventually leads teachers to neglect these silent students.
