平原圩区有面广量大的流功机泵,动力为12马力柴油机或10~13千瓦小电机,泵为8~12英寸混流泵。由于安装简陋,无进出水池,弯头多,管道长,有的装有底阀,控制水泵运行转速不当,造成装置效率低,能源浪费非常严重,水费成本是一般固定站的2~3倍。针对这一问题,东台市水利局探索试验出将流动机泵改建为小型桩基泵站。这种改建采取钢筋混凝土预制构件,现场组装,浇筑混凝土固结,避免了打坝、排水、挖塘等施工程序,做到了水泵全落井倾斜安装,管短,弯少,结构紧凑,土建工程量少。实践表明改造后的泵站,提高了装置效
