在毛主席革命路线招引下,我县深入开展农业学大寨运动,促进了棉花生产的发展。全县自1964年棉花(皮棉)亩产过《纲要》后,单产年年稳定在130—140斤左右,文化大革命中的1968年,亩产162斤,创造历史最高水平,去年战胜了干旱、阴雨、病虫和后期严重烂桃等灾害,夺得了平均亩产161斤的好收成。我县是棉麦(豆)套种间作地区,夏熟作物三麦和蚕豆在5月下旬和6月上旬收获,棉花于4月下旬
Encouraged by Chairman Mao’s revolutionary line, our county carried out the Dazhai Campaign in Agriculture and promoted the development of cotton production. After the “outline” of cotton (lint) per mu was produced in 1964 in the county, the yield per unit area was stable at around 130-140 kg annually. In 1968 during the Cultural Revolution, the yield was 162 kg per mu, creating the highest record in history and defeating the drought last year.
