随着我国钢铁工业的迅速发展,各种炼钢新工艺、新设备不断涌现。为了提高钢的质量和不断扩大钢的品种,以及能与连铸有机地联系起来,极需研制一种新型的钢液保温炉。要求通过它保温钢液,调整和均匀熔体的成份和温度,并能进行一定的冶金反应,为脱氧、去夹杂、调整成份、合金化等。不仅如此,保温炉的研究对钢铁和有色金属的铸造、机械制造工业等都有相当的价值和作用,能促进机械部门铸造工艺的机械化和自动化。
