Q: Could you talk about something about Egypt? Since your speech in the Indian Parliament, Britain and France have already decided to withdraw their troops from Egypt. However, they linked the issue to other factors, such as the acceptance of the 18-nation proposal on Egypt. Do you have any comments on this? A: The Chinese government and Chinese people support the positions taken by Asian and African countries. That is, British troops, French and Israeli forces immediately and without their withdrawal from Egypt. The responsibility of the United Nations Emergency Force is to oversee Britain, France, with the withdrawal of the army and with the cooperation of the Egyptian government to help clear the canal. In doing so, UNIFIL should pay due attention to Egypt’s sovereignty and dignity.
